Additional Information

• For safety reasons, pregnant women (5 months and older) cannot participate in any of our aquatic programs. Women less than 5 months pregnant can participate in the Encounter program only if accompanied by another adult and after signing a Liability Waiver.
• If you have any physical or health disability, please contact our call center before making your reservation so we can provide you with complete information about our services.
• Remember to use biodegradable sunscreen to protect your skin, the environment, and marine life.
• Bring towels and cash for taxis, shopping, meals, etc.

How do I get to Dolphin Discovery Playa del Carmen if I'm in another city on the Riviera Maya?

At Dolphin Discovery, we offer round-trip (shared) transportation from your hotel lobby to Dolphin Discovery Playa del Carmen. The cost is $15 USD for all participants in the dolphin swim program.

Besides dolphin programs, are there other activities to do in Playa del Carmen?

We are surrounded by the beautiful and colorful Mayan jungle and very close to the beach. It's a beautiful place to watch the sunset or sunrise over the Caribbean Sea. Playa del Carmen is a welcoming coastal city with restaurants, shops, a movie theater, and shopping centers.

Is there a safe place where I can leave my belongings?

We have lockers available for a small deposit, which will be refunded when you return the keys.

What is your policy for children?

• Children taller than 1.40 m (4 ft 7 in) can participate in any program on their own by paying the adult rate.
• Children between 1.21 m (4 ft 3 in) and 1.40 m (4 ft 7 in) tall can participate in the Encounter program on their own. To participate in the Swim Adventure or Royal Swim programs, they must be accompanied by a paying adult. Children between 1 meter and 1.20 meters tall can participate in the Encounter program when accompanied by a paying adult. To participate in the Swim Adventure and Royal Swim programs, they must be accompanied by two paying adults.
• Children shorter than 1 meter will be considered infants and will participate in Encounter program activities regardless of the program they are enrolled in (a life jacket must fit them properly).

Is there a refund for cancellations?

Yes, as long as the cancellation is made at least 4 days before the scheduled swim date. Cancellations made less than 4 days in advance are not eligible for a refund. A refund will be issued for cancellations made 5 days or more before the scheduled date; however, a 10% bank fee will be applied to the total amount.
